Meet Our Founder
Samantha Raymond is a Certified Natropathic Practitioner & Master Herbalist
I'm Sam, the founder, formulator and driving force behind Kintsugi Skin. I'm a wife, dog mum, and pro healthy aging. Peace and simplicity in life are everything to me and our home, nestled among prickly pear cactus and palm trees, is my sanctuary.
There seems to be quite a bit of polarization in the skincare industry, between natural and clinical, and I can totally see why. People no longer purchase food and skincare, blindly trusting that it will do them no harm. We are much wiser today and way more informed when it comes to ingredients. We question, we research and we demand healthier options for our food AND what we apply topically to our bodies every day.
Kintsugi Skin has embraced the very best of both worlds, using high performing functional plant actives, boosted with clean clinical actives, which the skin easily recognizes, and thats how are "plants + science" ethos began.
Having gone through a sudden, complete hysterectomy at age 40, which thrust me into a brutal surgical menopause, my skin appeared to be the main target during menopause. It seemed to change completely overnight, leaving me aghast as to how to fix it. As a master herbalist and certified Natropathic practitioner, I decided to combine my deep knowledge of functional plant medicine, with the best safe clinical actives, to create an entire collection of targeted formulas your aging skin will love.
Each opulent ingredient has been chosen for it's strong skin affinity, which aligns with our skincare being an essential component to our core well being. It should bring balance to you and your skin barrier, in order to advance the skin's ability to function optimally.
Skin health is our primary focus, while targeting common skin concerns, such as dry skin, excess oil production, congestion, hyperpigmentation, age spots, irritation and sensitivity, and our collection is designed to work in harmony with the skin's natural rhythm of repair and restoration.
From my heart, to yours
Sam
